In honor of the 50th anniversary of Brooklyn Heights’ designation as New York City’s first historic district, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Landmarks Law, the Brooklyn Historical Society is having a party — and Brownstoner is giving away two tickets.
Worth $100 each, Brownstoner will be raffling off the tickets to interested readers who can commit to attending the special event from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 23.
The anniversary celebration, Cocktails and Conversation: An Evening to Honor NYC’s First Historic District, will feature cocktails in the historic society’s elegant Othmer Library, followed by a program that features architectural historian Francis Morrone and Anthony C. Woods, the founder and chair of the New York Preservation Archive Project.
Co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Heights Association, the Brooklyn Historical Society, the New York Preservation Archive Project and the NYC Landmarks 50 Alliance, the event is sure to be a landmark celebration of historic proportions.
To win Brownstoner’s two free tickets, enter our raffle here by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 20. Note, please only enter the raffle if you can commit to going if selected.
