window replacement on townhouse

Hi there. I’m considering installing sequel windows from Home Depot on a turn of the century townhouse in park slope. Historical district. Any one know this kind of window and any review?

I havn’t seen these type of windows yet . If you want to replace your windows i will suggest you to go for [window repair las vegas](http://www.windows-las-vegas.com “window repair las vegas”) . I think they can help you in every possible way.

I have checked both sequel by home depot and Anderson 400 series and I would suggest you to go for Anderson 400 series if you plan a replacement for your windows. They are the best [value windows and doors](http://www.andersenwindows.com/planning/diy-library/andersen-energy-efficiency/ “value windows and doors”) for your home because it makes your interior and decor extraordinary and gives a new look to your home. These windows are energy efficient and this can save you up-to $500 on energy costs annually. Consider these while you plan to replace your windows.

I’m trying hard to decide between Sequel by home depot and Anderson 400 series. I would also like to know about the approximate budget. During the last renovation time I had to spent extra $1000 on window replacement since we hired window choice (Mississauga) for the window installation and repair. I would also be interested to hear from anyone who has actually had the Sequel installed. They seem much sturdier than the Andersons and I like the wood detailing on them, but it seems that these are new to the Home Depot line-up. I’ve heard that they are manufactured for Home Depot by Weather Shield.

You need a company that will handle the Landmark process, Home Depot will not be able to and the windows they sell most likely will not be Landmark approved windows. I am with Heights Historic Window And Door out of Dumbo and we can take care of that for you. Give us a call, ask for Jeff.

I have mixed views on Home depot. Consider this: Home depot subcontracts ALL their work. You’re pretty much hiring Home Depot to do consulting work. Now, There are some large window/glazing companies in the US that can give you some better estimates. They can give you some prices for the windows themselves, and you can hire a local contractor to install. I found out my aunt and uncle recently remodeled their kitchen through Home depot. In the end, they paid too much. I highly recommend EZBZ though. I find it very convenient and plus local and reputable contractors reply to you (once you post an inquiry through the site).

I’m not familiar with these windows. Just be aware you’ll need a permit from Landmarks for replacing your windows which will likely involve drawings. Window specialists are more likely to be able to help you with this than Home Depot.
