soundproof windows-citiquiet or citiproof?
I live on a horribly noisy block to the point getting sleep is nearly impossible. i’ve done some minor research on the possibility of soundproof windows and it seems like CitiQuiet and Citiproof are the two most reputable companies in NYC. does anyone have any personal experience with either one of these two? i live in East Village if it helps. the only reviews i’ve found sound suspiciously like in house store endorsements and less like real customer experience. i would appreciate it so much if anyone who genuinely has worked with either can share their experience, if it’s worth it or not. many thanks!

I met with Marc from Citiquiet, whom I believe is the owner or part-owner. I’m coming up to the end of my 2 month lead time on some odd-sized windows, so i’ll be happy to report back on the quality of work and the windows, but I can say that Marc was both timely and very nice to deal with. Answered my questions knowledgeably, and didn’t try to push the sale (we were on the fence about the large parlor windows, and wound up not including those in the project at this time, though he did give us a rough quote on them. Didn’t offer any of the “one time pricing” deals, or anything like that, which i appreciate (unfortunately, it’s the norm, it seems, to upsell at every chance, even when un-necessary) Be aware that there’s a lengthy lead time unless you have a window size he or his suppliers stock regularly. Mine was 8 weeks, but the parlor windows would have been closer to 3 months. When i get those done, i’ll keep that in mind and plan accordingly. (ie: don’t do it in the fall -lol) Also there are several options, and they were patient in explaining the pros and cons of each approach. Sorry i can’t be of more help yet – can just give a people-experience on citiquiet. I’ll report back about the actual windows.
