Custom kick plate for townhouse door?

Hi all.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get custom brass kick plates? The doors on our Prospect Heights co-op are in need of one but the standard sizes sold at hardware stories don’t fit. Many thanks in advance.

Buy a brass kickplate wider than your door. Bring it to a metal fabricator and have it cut down to size.

We had two cut to size years ago, by a brass place that used to be on Coney Island Avenue. They actually cut them from an old bronze theatre door. That store is gone, but there must be other–perhaps sheet metal dealers who sell brass or bronze. It was easy for to drill the plates for mounting screws.
