Asbestos in drywall joint compound
Has anyone done an asbestos remediation that include removing swathes of drywall due to asbestos in the drywall joint compound? Is there any more time and cost efficient means of addressing it other than removing the drywall?

Why remove it? Just paint over it. The danger with asbestos is not because it’s there but because of any dust or chips that flake off. If it’s painted it’s not really an issue. Use a good oil base primer
