Sprinkler System Aesthetics

We recently moved into a three family with an intact sprinkler system.  Most of them are over doorways and in the halls.  Is there any way of making them less noticeable?  We’re working with a licensed plumber to remove all the violations and will of course ask for his ideas.  Thanks for your thoughts.

You can recess the heads and piping in the ceiling and walls.
