Self Storage for an entire house items?

I want to know if self storage services like jiffy storage or Migson storage in Toronto provide storage for entire items of a house at a time. Do they provide any kind of moving service? My hubby and I just sold our house after we bought a new house a few streets away. The new house needs a little renovation and we expect it to take about a month for it to finish. Also, we are visiting our parents in next province during this time. So we want to store a lot of household items for about a month until our new house is finished. Any suggestions/advice for us?

You can actually ask your removalists if they have any connections for self storage. A lot of moving companies these days do offer self storage as an extra service.

I’ve used Moishes. They will move your stuff to storage for free if you commit to three months of storage rental (which winds up being cheaper than the move + month of storage rent)

We are storing everything using Drive Up Storage, which is essentially a “POD” type company that specializes in NYC moving. We hired movers and they took it all away to LI. So far, so good… hopefully we’ll get it back within the next year.

We renovated our house in Brooklyn and on the advice contractor and architect, moved everything out for the duration (about six months). We hired a mover, Big Johns, who moved everything to their facility in the south Bronx. We had access to the stored stuff, but it was not a “self-storage” facility by any means. We needed to arrange in advance for access. On the other hand, what it sounds like you want is a large self-storage locker and someone to move the stuff for you. Have no idea what services are available in Toronto, and I think you are on the wrong board if you are looking for that here.
