Architects/suggestions for combining two units/converting multi-family to single

Hi. We are looking at two options: either buying two units and combining or covering a multi-family to single. Wondering if anyone out there has a) suggestion of architects for this and b) suggestions of mortgage brokers who can handle this kind of financing. Thanks.
