Landmarked?!

Word on the street is that the Huge Church at 626 Bushwick is slated for demolition within the next year.  Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?  It is a beautiful building and removing it would change the ‘skyline’ of our humble little neighborhood for ever.  http://holybos.com/about

Get a petition circulating in the neighborhood, signatures from block associations, church groups and other neighborhood organizations. The LPC can sometimes designate buildings as an individual landmark as opposed to an entire district.

There is a group working to landmark much of Bushwick Ave., but it will take years.
