Front Yard Hardscaping in Bed-Stuy, Help!

Hi Brownstoners! We are about to finally close on a house in bed-stuy and the first thing we want to do is redo the front yard area. It’s currently a mess of old bluestone mixed with some terrible broken up concrete. We want to create a small garden area and re-do the hardscaping. We don’t like the new “bluestone” pavers and are considering doing a more modern gray concrete. Has anyone redone their front yard area with a nice slate looking concrete? Who did you use? Any suggestions for a mason for this or a landscaper greatly appreciated!
