Using Traemnand Company to put in Ikea kitchen?

We are thinking of putting in an Ikea kitchen on a rental unit and are considering using the Traemand company, Ikea’s “partner” in measuring, installing, etc. Ikea kitchens.

Anyone have any experience with Traemand?
Alternatively, anyone have any experience with putting in an Ikea kitchen with local contractors/handy folks?

Coincidentally, Traemand came in this morning to measure for our Prospect Heights co-op kitchen. The guy was excellent! On time, had good ideas, listen to our ideas, and agreed to measure a hallway and storage project, in addition to the kitchen. I’ll know more when the plans come back in about 5 working days.

Try and contact my friend Jeff at Six Zero 6 design. He only works with Ikea cabinets. Ill bet he has a good guy to install them. You can see his work at his site sixzero6 dot com. You will see all his kitchens have Ikea cabinets. Someone is installing them the right way… 🙂

Yes.  We had them install our rental kitchen a few years back.  I can tell you that they definitely know Ikea products and all the ins and outs, shortcuts and tricks of  installing them.  As with most contractors, you are advised to pay close attention during install and to be certain to check the project carefully before writing that last check. That said, when it comes to Ikea installs, we recommend them.
