Just Finished IKEA Kitchen

We just completly renovated kitchen on the tight budget. The kitchen was small and funky shaped (10×9 kitchen connected to the 11×6 pantry). I was fighting for every inch of space. Still Ikea cabinets fit quite well and I am very pleased with outcome and the cost. We installed L – shaped countertop with the long side covering cabinet and short side hanging in the air to make room for eating. Please forgeve the quality of my photographs.

Very impressed you installed it yourself, Bobjohn. Slopemope, I had a friend who redid his kitchen using Ikea and the whole thing was $5,000 or $7,000, including new appliances. He also installed everything himself, so no labor costs. Kitchen was about 7×8. That was back in 2001 or so, so prices have probably gone up since then.

I think it is called Lilje dark brown color. I installed all cabinets myself but I asked for help with cutting filler pieces and crown moldings.

Congratulations. Looks beautiful. It really does look like it fits well. Love the style of the doors with mullioned glass and the tile and counter. Very classic.
