Interior Designer / Decorator Recommendations

My wife and I are looking for an interior designer / decorator to help with furniture, rug, window treatment, and wall hanging selection for a 2 br / 2 ba in Brooklyn Heights.  We’d probably like to work with someone on a “by the hour” basis and would not want to spend a fortune buying custom designed furniture.  Our apartment lends itself to fairly traditional taste (i.e. not modern).  Any recommendations?  Thanks in advance!
