Looking for Home Insurance Co. that Doesn't Require Garden Level Bars to be Swing Away??

Hi All, Checked past threads on this issue and we are in a similar situation as many on this site.  We are a new policy with State Farm for a brownstone in Bed-Stuy.  They just called telling us we need to change the garden level, front window bars to swing away.  Even though this room is not a bedroom and the back windows do not have bars at all, they are still requiring it.  Can anyone recommend a carrier that does not require this modification?  Thanks in advance!

State Farm is requiring this will all new policies, so I’m not surprised that they are doing it with renewals.  I guess they want to loose the NYC townhouse market. We went with Brownstone Agency as well. Nancy Yurcheck there is good.

WOW.  I had State farm and they never required it.
