gas line insurance - worthwhile?

National Grid is pitching me on insurance for interior gas lines… it seems pretty reasonable to me, but wanted to see what everyone thought out there. Input? TIA.

it’s a scam National Grid is responsible for the street line up to and including the meter.unless there is an earthquake….stove, HWH,boiler,dryer are single flex/piped line in with a shut off(check that) you know where your gas meter is,and the shut off valve(pipe wrench or large ajustable).if you smell gas within the house shut it off and call NG they will do a walk around inside..check there site to see if they offer it…

Never heard of this.  How much is it and what does it cover?    How old are your gas lines?  I’ve never heard of gas line problems.  Leaks at fittings occasionalyy but you dan’t want to have National Grid learn about any of those because they’ll shut off your gas.
