Dog walker & home owner's insurance

We’re getting ready to move to Bed Stuy in a month.  I was wondering if anyone can recommend a homeowner’s insurance company?  Haven’t been able to find a company that got great reviews and a decent price.   My second question is we are going to need someone to stop by for our two dogs at lunch time from time to time.  Does anyone know of any services or a reliable person who can let them out? We’re moving from an area in Brooklyn where there’s plenty of options from doggy day care to dog sitters and walkers. Thanks!!

Try HouseBroken (www.Housebrokenny.com ).  I know they cover bed-stuy and I think a few of their walkers live in that area.   We have been using their services for the last 4 years and really like them.    As for insurance, we use Liberty Mutual.  But, I have been trying to find a more affordable option.  They are expensive! Thanks everyone!  Will definitely try the insurance company recommendations. We’ll be in zip code 11233 and unfortunately it looks like some of the dog walking companies don’t serve our zip code.  We’ll be on Decatur near Howard.  It may end up that we just need someone to let the dogs out in the yard for a half hour or so.
