Highly Recommend a Handyman

I would like to highly recommend a handyman I’ve been using for my rental properties. His name is Emilio and his humber is 347-419-8746\. Emidio is extremely reasonable, he is great with painting and spackling; he would do a basic plumbing job quickly and efficiently. He is the guy you need to do all around small jobs around the house. Just wanted to let people know if case anyone needs a solid handyman.

We had an AWFUL experience with Emilio, which I need to share here to save other people the money, time, and hassle that we have experienced. We saw him reviewed on Brownstoner and hired him to do some work around the house. Everything went fine until he shattered a 3″ thick piece of safety glass in our outer door…in early November. He then became increasingly difficult to track down. He did eventually buy some replacement glass (much thinner), but went MIA when it came time to actually install it. For literally weeks, we couldn’t reach him. Eventually, we had roofers work on the house (early Dec) and they locked the outer door…apparently that week, Emilio decided to try and complete the work. He called us to say he couldn’t get in. We had our property manager go and unlock the door; again, days went by and Emilio was unreachable. The new tenants eventually locked the door again. He ignored our calls for the next month. Today (mid-January!) I called from a new number, and he magically answered. He got very angry when he realized it was me, and flat-out refused to complete the repair unless we paid him more – more, to repair damage that HE caused!! – because he had been “inconvenienced” by going to our house twice at totally unplanned, random times, and finding the door locked. Crazy, people in Crown Heights deciding to lock their doors! We will never use him again. He is dishonest, flaky, and corrupt. He’s fine if you’re paying him, but god forbid he damages something and has to make you whole. He will disappear and you’ll be left scrambling around to find someone to do the work that he owes you. (He also got irate at hearing that I thought he owed us this repair) The guy is short-sighted and vindictive. Find someone else.
