Handyman worth hiring: Brian Piersol

Brian Piersol came well recommended and lived up to his press. He’s Brooklyn based but apparently works all over NYC. Not only does he get the job done  in a timely fashion  but he’s also very pleasant to have around.

It is rare to work for someone and have them express dissatisfaction. A strict budget and a patchwork renovation plan can derail even sincere efforts. We are honest and we correct mistakes on our time if the client so wishes. Hopefully the twelve glowing recommendations for Brian Piersol should outweigh a single notice of expectations frustrated.

For what it’s worth, this was not my experience at all with Brian. He worked slowly and spent a lot of time redoing things that he or his assistant did wrong. He is definitely a very nice guy but he didn’t prove capable of doing the job he took on, and made excuses for things that he did incorrectly. I hired because of recommendations on Brownstoner so wanted to share some feedback with others who might be looking.
