DO I NEED AN ELECTRICIAN?.
a wall switch in our hallway is broken. this seems like a simple thing to replace, but the handymen whom i’ve spoken to don’t seem to want to touch anything electrical. do i need an electrician? if so, any recommendations? or: any recommendations of a handyman who can/will do this? thank you!

if wires are new – easy. just connect wires correctly and wrap with electric tape. if wires are old and insulation is frail and there is no much slack left – it could be tricky and potentially lead to electic arc. So I would excersice a bit a jugement here.

seems like a very simple job 1\. turn off the breaker 2\. replace the switch with a similar switch…….I’ve replaced many a switch, many an outlet in my life
