Topic HiJack – but staying with snow removal: can anyone confirm who is responsible for the removal of snow / ice from the sidewalk? We are in a multifamily brownstone and the wording of the N.Y. ADC. LAW § 16-123 has me confused – “_a. Every owner, **lessee, tenant, occupant**, or other person, having charge of any building or lot of ground in the city, abutting upon any street where the sidewalk is paved, shall, within four hours after the snow ceases to fall, or after the deposit of any dirt or other material upon such sidewalk, remove the snow or ice, dirt, or other material from the sidewalk and gutter, the time between nine post meridian and seven ante meridian not being included in the above period of four hours._ “

I use Foot Soldiers (http://www.pr-g.org) since 2 years and the 3 times it snowed they did a good job. Besides that it´s a great project. I´d recommend it.

I’ve always been intrigued by this service: http://www.pr-g.org/ Never tried them or anyone else….just saw them online.
