Electrical Permit

I am wrapping up an Alt-2 job in a co-op. The job was filed as a Directive 14\. I know that my contractor pulled permits for general construction and plumbing. However, when I search my building on the DOB site, I cannot find an electrical permit anywhere. I know I am looking in the right spot, because I see a separate permit for our building from last year. Assuming the job requires an electrical permit, any thoughts on how I should approach my contractor? IF he balks at remedying this issue, what is the downside or risk to me in the future? And I thought this job was almost done, ugh…..

Thanks. He did not tape an electrical permit on the door. The co-op required that all permits be obtained, and my agreement with the GC for the electrical work stipulated that all permits would be obtained. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing whether the work was correctly performed. Is it extremely unlikely that a future buyer would care about this? In addition to potential safety issues, I’m upset that I paid a premium for things to be filed properly.

An Alt-2 does not require an electrical permit be pulled in order to sign off the job. If the coop did not require the electrical permit and if the work was correctly performed there really is no future downside or risk. http://brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/curated

Go to the Bureau of Electrical Control. Do they not have the permits taped up?
