What color bedroom furniture goes with yellow walls, white trim, blue checker bedspread?

Hi all,

I have an extra room I need to turn into a guest room. The walls are yellow, and the trim/closet doors are white. I have a nice blue/yellow bedspread that matches the wall, but I need add bedroom furniture (headboard, nightstand etc.). What color furniture should I use?

Would love to see a picture, but I’d suggest white. Since your baseboards are white, I’m assuming it works as an accent color all ready. All the best!

I would go with white color, for either metal or wood. It will look beautiful, mindblowing and clean along with the white trim. If you choose to do a natural wood, I’d keep it light.  Remember one thing, even though white will show dirt, dark colors show the Dust…!!!
So I prefer white along with yellow walls……

I think you should use wooden brown coloured furnitures. Combination of yellow and brown colors is more sparkling. Teak furnitures are also suitable with your wall shade. http://furnituremall.info/

I have yellow bedroom walls, medium blue quilt, blue and white demin rag rugs.  They all look great with my maple bedroom furniture that has been stained lightly to a light natural cherry color (the stain colors on new maple furniture to accomplish this were fruitwood and mahogany.)  They also look great with my antique birdseye maple dresser.  If you like antiques, you can find pieces of this sort of furniture for not all that much.  It might also look good with midcentury modern stuff, but that might be a tad too dark (most of the coloring on it is a bit dark for me for that bedroom).  If you don’t think so, but midcentury is not your thing, then you might think natural cherry (in the darker color it gets in the first few years you own it) looks ok.  If you prefer the lighter stuff like I do, try maple without any stain, bamboo, and the beech and birch colors, found at Ikea if that’s your price range, also look OK.

I would think any neutral color (white, black, various shades of wood stain) would be fine, but using white could look good with the white trim.  If the room looks more modern, white and black might be better.  If it’s more of a traditional brownstone/old building and details, I like stained wood; we have yellow walls and they look great against various shades of wood stain).
