what are they putting on top of the brick facade at Bushwick Leaders High School in Bushwick? (Formerly a Sisters of Mercy bldg.)

It looks as if they are skimming over the brick facade with cement at Bushwick Leaders High School.  This was a former Sisters of Mercy Building and should be landmarked. Does anyone know what they are doing? location: 797 Bushwick Ave between Dekalb Ave and Stockholm Ave
