Laticrete hydro ban drain grate

Hi all, If anyone happens to be installing a Laticrete shower pan, I somehow ended up with an extra 5×5 Hydro Ban drain grate, polished stainless. If you need it, let me know, I’m happy to pass it on. If not, it’ll go to Build it Green, just thought I’d check with the community first.

I called it a shower pan as the drain goes with the Laticrete Hydro Ban Pre-Sloped Shower Pan. Laticrete has 2 separate options for drains – the one I have left over which goes with the shower pan, and a separate bonding flange drain that you buy if you aren’t buying their shower pan. The installation was very easy. I chose it as I was doing it myself and didn’t want to deal with making a mud bed – it was definitely worth it to me. So far it’s been terrific. I also preferred working with the Hydro Ban instead of a membrane – much easier for a non-expert to manage. I’ll email you separately to arrange pickup (assuming you still want it).

I install Schluter showers. This is a new system, apparently based on Schluter. I don’t know why you call it a “shower pan.” How did the installation go? Why did you choose this type of shower? is it what you expected? Sure, I would like your grate, or other left over parts. I am in the directory under shower stalls. Green Mountain
