Property tax reassessment after altering a tax lot.

I have recently separated a double tax lot into two, single, lots and am anxious to get DOF to reassess the taxes and send a separate bill for each lot instead of the old bill for the double lot.  Any idea how/when they reassess lots after they’ve been altered?  I understand they only assess once a year, July for my area.  Does anyone know if that’s true?  How can I make sure they do it this year?  Will it be flagged in their system because a tax lot was changed?  It’s really important to me that they do it this year and not leave the tax bill/assessment as it was for the old double tax lot.

DOF should have two lot numbers now so each should be assessed seperately.  What they asses this year will be for next year’s taxes, and you can dispute it next year after getting the notice this December.
