need to point brick front of the rowhouse in Brooklyn

Hi, the mortar is falling out from many places in the brick front of our house. I am looking for someone to point the brick. This is 20′ wide 2 story tall house in Bay ridge. How much it would cost and can someone recommend an inexpensive crew to do it. thank you. eamensia at yahoo com

Whomever you choose, make sure they use the right mortar – soft. Many masons don’t understand how to repoint old brick and use modern hard mortar. For advice on mortar mixes, go to the NYC Landmarks Preservation website. If the masonry contractor doesn’t want to do it this, move on to another company.
