Facade cleaning restoration rough cost

What is a rough estimate for having a brick townhouse cleaned (approx 25 x 50), the cornice painted, and some brownstone restored (removing concrete painted over deteriorating brownstone and adding new “brownstone”) + stoop restoration.  The building is in manhattan.  I have spoken to a couple companies that do this work and I have been quoted at $15K, $30K, and $50K (this, I believe also included pointing work (which I dont think needs to be done).  This seems to be a pretty wide range…

Anytime you have such a diversity in pricing, it’s useful to check to see that each bidder is proposing the same scope of work.  You might want to put together a checklist to make sure that all of the bidders are including everything you want done.

Your quote is way different in price range. you definitely need more estimates and compare the diffrences by asking them to quote you for each part of the work. also ask for references . and if insured. you may Call the Brownstone Contractors at (347)708-9204\. they will be able to provide you with an estimate. they have done many restoration projects in Brooklyn & Mahattan,we had our facade restored and repointed.and the cornice painted.so i highly recommed them.

Millad did my facade work.  He’s excellent but I’m not sure if he’s insured.  I had the entire garden level redone, including the stoop, replacement of all the lintels and sills above and about 30% of the flat facade repaired…$20k

HI, we’ve used Anthony the mason, 347-307-4725.  Cornice painting and general brownstone restorations.  He had done many similar projects in brooklyn and manhattan, that’s why we were very comfortable with his skills and price.  Good luck!

You can see the details proposal and figure out what is the deferant of those explaination.i guess 30K souns reasonable but you may take another estimate from M.Hamid Construction CO by calling at 718-633-1500.Special Rigger licensed and fully insured.You also may speak to some of there clients for such job you need to be done.

Hi it seems like you getting done lots of work but the price range seems ridiculous. How can one person give a price for 15 then other person for 50\. Anyway, if you want you can call this number 718-669-8305\. Ask for Millad, he has done for me other in the neighborhood. See how much he is asking for? He is license and everything you need.
