Experience replacing cedar shingles with Hardieboard?

I have an old grand dame home with cedar shingles in need of replacement.  I am considering changing the facade to Hardieboad clapboard.  Anyone have experience doing this?  How does it hold up?

We have also done hardiboard in Brooklyn and Jersey. The last house we did in hardi is on Greenwood Ave between Prospect Park Southwest and Sherman St. If you’re coming from Prospect Park Southwest it is the second house past the apartment building. We’ve done many jobs with Hardi clapboard. Most in Long Island but a few in Brooklyn. If installed correctly the Hardi is trememdously durable with almost no maintenance when compared to shingles.
