Chimney repair

I’ve had a few people stop by to look at my chimney and it looks like it needs to be relined.  Does anyone have any recs for good chimney cos that service the brooklyn area. I think I already spoke with A&A and Big Apple.  Any other reputable companies out there? Also, does 2200.00 sound like a lot to reline a 4-story brownstone?  Many, Many thanks for any help!

Went with Big Apple Chimney and the work turned out fantastic.  There were complication along the way but they took care of everything without a problem.  I would highly recommend working with them!  The heat is working fine now.

When we switched from oil to gas we had the chimney relined by a guy called Jakobson. I think it was this company, but I can’t find the number in my book right now. This is from Yelp. I got the recommendation from Leopoldi’s.  The guy was careful and neat, and explained everything. Don’t know how the cost compares.   Jakobsen Chimney & Furnace Clng (718) 338-5338

They all overcharge you. Call chimney depot, they can be found online. Get chimney lining kit. It will cost you around $550\. Then get 3 day laborers $10 per hour each. Drop liner from the roof into the chimney. It takes around 2-3 hours max. Your total will be 550+90=640 you see all those companies multiply this number by 3 to get selling price. But it is so simple you can do it yourself and save 70%.

$2,200 must’ve been A&A’s price because Big Apple Chimney doesn’t work that cheaply. BAC does amazing custom work and diagnostics and they have the staff to do anything you could ask. If Andre told you $2,200, I’m sure that’s as good (cheap) as you’re going to do. He’s a reputable guy and does quality work. I use Big Apple a lot, too, but they’re a different kind of company than A&A. They both have their place.
