Seeking advice on Bedbug remedy for household with young children.

We recently discovered a bedbug in the upper duplex of our brownstone building. We are the owners and occupy the unit. A dog inspection indicated that the Master Bedroom (where the bug was found) was the only currently active infestation in the total of 6 rooms that comprise our space.  The exterminator that we contacted proposed a plan for a cyronic treatment, heat boxes for household items that wont go into our dryer, and pesticide applications.  While they have not specified what types they are proposing to use (TBD by technician according to the needs of our situation on site) they did provide a PDF list of pesticides that are a bit daunting when you read the warning labels.  We would like to use a professional service as we have two young girls 2 1/2 and 5 yrs and don’t have the time to impliment remedies ourselves.  Anyone know of a effective solution or service provider that is sensitive to issues of children and toxicity?
