Getting rid of squirrels
I think I have squirrels nesting in the space between my floors in my wood-frame house. I think they are getting in through the abandoned building next door which hast tons of holes. Any recommendations for a good exterminator?

We didn’t call an exterminator but instead purchased some repelling pellets designed for squirrels to keep them out of our basement. They worked really well and weren’t expensive at all. Got them from here http://www.havahart.com/store/animal-repellents/squirrel

We have the same problem. We thought it was squirrels, but it turned out to be rats, mice, and some as of yet unidentified creature which is most likely a possum, but could be a racoon or skunk. Do you have access to the abandoned property next door? I would work with a firm that specializes in trapping wildlife, not an exterminator. We have been working with an exterminator, and he has successfully eliminated the rats and mice, but not the possum. The key is filling in the entry holes. Use fine gauge wire mesh and cement.
