Bee Update

Thank you for those who helped me with my bee problem, I was able to contact a beekeeper and I will be using his services should I find bees. He tells me there is a chance that I could find a large nest of active bees. I’ll know more tomorrow. Here’s a photo of some of the hive and honey I was able to pull out. I’ll be removing some more flooring tomorrow with great care.

I took this photos yesterday. ( When I first noticed it in the floor, I thought it was some old blanket insulation. )

 I spoke with a beekeeper because I was concern that I might find live bees. He said at one time there was tens of thousands of bees in there and it’s not as rare as you would think. He said in most cases people don’t notice until their ceiling has a yellow stain.

I removed the rest of the hive today. Just as much as last friday.  No bees, but they left a great deal of beautiful honey. Big chunks of honey held together by the comb. It was neat to see.
