Insulation recommendations in Bedford-Stuyvesant?

Hi stoners! I need a recommendation for someone who can insulate my townhouse roof in the Stuyvesant Heights area of Bed-Stuy.

I think you are referring to Federal Conservation http://www.federalconservation.com/

They blew in some roof insulation for me earlier in the Spring. I haven’t had a heating season yet, so I don’t know the dollar impact, but they were really professional and, I thought, fairly priced (prices look like they haven’t changed since daveinbedstuy’s job).

Yeah, go with blown in.  You’ll need 2 vents as well.  My 20 x 50 was less than $2,500 about 3 years ago.  I used Federal as well.   Very good.

If you have a flat roof, the way to go is with a contractor that specializes in blown in insulation. A contractor that has been mentioned on this web site is the Federal Insulation Group. Check out their web site for an introduction to your options with this type of insulation.

I was suggested a contractor from this site few months ago doing work in my house, and I am here to report that I had a great experience with them.
