Formal Complaint against DOB examiner

We have been waiting 8 weeks to see our plan examiner for the first time. Our meeting has been canceled twice. Obviously this is a source of intense anxiety and stress. Our architects recommend we file a formal complaint. What do brownstoners think? Any suggestions? Thanks!

BK DOB is woefully understaffed. You can try but I expect you will find that it was canceled due to sickness, or training. They usually give an emergency appt when DOB cancels. That would be quicker than calling for an appt and I find that it is within a week of the orginal appt.

I don’t have any experience with the DOB and these processes but my gut instinct would be to wait untill everything is finished and signed off on.  Lets see what the other architects here have to say.  Maybe there’s bad blood between your architect and the DOB????
