DOB/DOF lists me as a 3-family (C0) but Title Search say its 2-family
The Department of Building and Finance have tagged as a 3-family. I am paying twice as much in taxes as the 2-family comps on my block. A couple of questions, how would I go about getting the DOB and DOF to update their records? Will the DOB need to come out and inspect the property? What else should I be considering?

Updating records starts at the DOB with a new or amended Certificate of Occupancy. The Department of Finance records are not always correct; and descriptions on title searches often reflect what the bank wants to see in order to make a loan.
This is not a straightforward process in the DOB.

Aren’t 1, 2, and 3 family homes all considered Class 1 and taxed under the same formula & rates?
