Closing out job with DOB

I did an Alt 2 townhouse renovation in Brooklyn back in 2018. Final inspection passed, but the architect never closed out the job with the DOB. How do I go about getting the job closed out when the filing architect is no longer in the picture?

Can you look up your job on DOB online and see what’s left? Depending upon how it was filed (BIS or DOB NOW) you can find the open items in Items Required. Some may require the architect, but it may be that all you need is an expediter.

Thank you! I already tried to contact the architect, but to no avail. Do you happen to know an expediter who could take this on?

It may be worth trying the architect one more time with some light prodding, as it’s comparatively easy for them to close out a job (and they know they’re supposed to do it).

If that doesn’t work and everything else has been completed (inspections, PW3, etc.), an expediter can file for a Letter of Completion on your behalf. Shouldn’t be too expensive, <$500.
