closing out a permit

any recommendation for a general contractor who can close out a permit for us? our previous GC disappeared with COVID. the work is done but we a re left with a pending permit that we need to close. Any suggestions or recommendations greatly appreciated. thanks.

Talk to your architect. I’m no expert on permits and I can’t be sure from your post I what kind of work was done or if you had electrical and plumbing work, too, but I think your architect should be able to renew the permit and close it.
But again I am no expert.

Maybe an expediter would be good for that. I usually use AM Expediting of Freeport, NY.
