Custom stainless steel fabricator for deck island?

Looking for recommendations based on personal experience.  We are building a deck that will have a custom island – stainless steel front that accepts two grills and an outdoor refrigerator with stone countertop.  Any recs for fabricators that can build to an architect’s specs?  Thanks.

In my opinion, would not use Savant Metals whatsoever. Also, in my opinion, stay far away also from the “affiliated” companies of Modular Metals Inc. and Milton Garay Construction. Did not have a positive experience at all.

Not sure if this thread is still alive but, I used this guy who is located in the bronx, http://www.savantmetals.com/ for a small job and the work was outstanding. Given the type of work they do, I was surprised he took my tiny project. Attention to detail was amazing. In a different direction, I did a copper island counter for myself a while back and found the metal shop of a local roofer who did a great job. I fabricated the counter-top and the sheet metal shop guy fabricated the copper right over it, rectangle with a right turn and 45 degree bevels at the outer edges, came out perfect. Look for a roofer who has a metal shop and you might get lucky. Hope this helps! Matt R www.nyc-hs.com

In Brooklyn you can google American Circle. They changed their name to Advanced Steel, but they are conveniently located under the BQE in Williamsburg. The person to speak to David Tang. Not great customer service, but the price and product are worth the hastle.

Some of the commercial kitchen suppliers on the Bowery will do it.  I used Sang Kung Kitchen Supplies at 110 Bowery for my stainless countertop.  It was eight years ago or so now but they gave me a decent price and did a good job.  I provided the stainless sink that they welded seamlessly into the countertop.
