Roof Decks

I’m interested in having a roof deck installed on the roof of my 108 unit co-op in Brooklyn.  I’m looking for feedback/guidance from others who have gone through the process in order to inform discussions with other shareholders and Board members. * The building has, I believe, a wood roof so additional support would need to be installed for the decking to rest on.  Does anyone have a rough estimate of the price per square foot for a project like this? * Would the corporation need new/additional liability insurance?  What should we estimate these costs to be? * Did you measure the value of apartments in the building before/after the addition on the roof deck?  Is there even a way to quantify this?  I imagine if I could show that the value rises to offset the additional expenses from the construction/maintence/insurance, I might have a better chance convincing people this is a good idea! Any other thoughts or considerations?  Recommendations for professionals I could speak with? Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!
