looking for Brooklyn prewar coops specifically. there has got to be more out there than I have found from my searching.

Sorry, I don’t know a thing about those areas. Bob Marvin is an expert. I can tell you about about every prewar coop in Jackson Heights if you would consider Queens. There is a book on the topic also.

You have to narrow it down by neighborhood. Where are you looking? There are more in Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope than in other areas. Brooklyn Heights tends to have ’20s and ’30s buildings. Park Slope has quite a few “French flats,” fairly nice original Victorian apartments (not former houses) with fireplaces, dining rooms, and two or three bedrooms. There is a walkup teens coop in Bushwick.
