Affordable reserve study

I’m on the board of a fairly small co-op, and we’re looking to have an engineering reserve study done. But the quotes we’ve been getting are absurdly high given the size of our building and operations – they’re between 7 and 10% of our current reserves, which is simply not an amount we would consider spending. Can anyone recommend and engineer who might be more accustomed to working with buildings of our size (less than 15 units)?
