SOURCE FOR SHORTER BI FOLD DOORS

Does anyone know where we can buy bi fold doors shorter than 79″?  The ideal size would be 76″  We have teice that cutting the doors down has weakened them.

bifolds better than sliding doors.  most high-end condos nowadays use bi-fold doors for the closets.  The key to bi-fold doors is using nice hardware (ie the track, pivots, brackets).  I too was thinking bi-folds are crap cause I had bad experiences with them then found out it’s cause they all had crappy hardware. OP, if you use nice hardware where it’ll be silky smooth open/close, the door should hold up fine.  if you’re worried, use some wood glue on the joints if you’re really worried the door is weakened

As long as you are using solid core doors, taking 1 1/2″ off both the top and bottom won’t weaken them.  Better yet, use solid core sliding doors.  Bifolds suck.
