RECOMMENDED BRAND HOT WATER HEATING BOILER

Any advice in choosing between Slantfin, Burnham or Weil McLain for a 140,000 -150,000 BTU hot water boiler, assuming that there is availability in the area?  THANKS!

Slant Fin makes excellent boilers right here in Long Island with customer service surpassing any expectations. Perry Labarbera is their area represenative and does excellent job. I would recommend it 100% Of cause Viessmann is the best there is but  Installation of those not up to average heating contractor.  But this is in general a wrong quoestion. The right question is who is the best boiler installer. I’v seen crown boilers installed properly and working fine, and Viessmanns installed upside down and not working at all.

Slant fin is builder’s grade, which is crap. Burnham, then Weil-McLain for standard-efficiency heating equipment.

it is not a car. brand as not important as how efficient the boiler is or what subssidy you would get from the utility company.
