Murphy Bed Repair ?

Hello – I have a six year old Murphy Bed that a cabinet maker installed using the “Create-A-Bed” mechanism. It was attached to the wall in three places up top (not sure what the correct terminology is – if it’s bolted, or attached with huge screws). Two of those screw/bolt/thingees are no longer secure, and the bed is slowly detaching from the wall (making me scared and very cautious when  taking the bed down especially.) That’s probably an easy fix for any handyman type.

The other two issues, probably more specific to these murphy beds, are:

1\. The hyraulics (right term? dont know) have lost some ompfh, making the bed feel slightly heavier when lifting and taking down. They still work (or else bed would be super h eavy), but it is noticeably more difficult.
2\. When taking the bed down, there is a new sound, like the bed part is coming into contact with something at the top. Hard to explain, but it means that it is tougher to take the bed out of it’s fully raised position, and when you do, a discernible “knock” can be heard.

I’d like to have this fixed, by someone with experience working with these kinds of wood murphy beds. The guy who built the bed for me is no longer in business.

any ideas? or any brownstoners who built/repair murphy beds?
