Exterior wood contractors

We are looking for contractors skilled in exterior wood work to re-side the front of a wood frame house, including building a new wooden stoop/steps since the old ones are in relatively poor shape.  The house currently has all the original wood details which we would like to preserve/restore wherever possible (most places) and replace with reproductions where not possible to save.  In general, the front of the house (other than the steps) is in good shape, but shows some signs of sloppy repairs over the years.  We are looking for someone with real experience in exteriors of old wood frame houses. Any suggestions?  Ideally, could you provide addresses that we could walk by and look at from the street?

Do not replace with wood.. Fiber cement is a greener/superior product.

T&A Carpentry has done a bunch of the south slope frame facades. Did a nice job for our cornice. Are you considering hardiplank for the siding? (And if you are, use the plain side, not the grainy side — looks much more like real wood when painted).
