Custom closets?

I’ve been scouring the forum archive but can’t seem to find any reliable recommendations for a custom closet company. Anyone have one? There must be something good and reasonably priced, besides California Closets.

I recommend Julia Pitrelli at TransForm www.transformhome.com and Debbie Getz (I think her company is called DG Designs) 917 957-6877\. Both will come to your home and measure the closet spaces, customize based on what you store in them and the size of your clothes, measure your shoes, etc – very thorough.

We had a really good experience with Al at ANA Closets. He did a walk through with us and measured each closet and we talked about how we would want to use it, then sent us plan drawings which we went back and forth on a few times to get what we wanted. I would echo the Easy Closets fan recommendation – http://www.easyclosets.com/ – The website is worth visiting because they have a great free design tool that if nothing else, can help you get your design ideas refined. The pricing seems fair, at least to use as a benchmark anyway. I’m not familiar with Transform Closets but I agree that a visit would be helpful Their site gives me a pricey impression but that’s just an impression. You did not mention just how much customization you may need or someone to do the installation. We havent purchased yet but have decided on Transform Closets. Yes they have an office in Manhattan and will come to you…..but do yourself a favour and drive up to their showroom (about 40 mins north) as worth the effort because you get to see everything in one go……..instead of wasting time and having somene come to your place.   Take your dimensions with you and then have them come out pre-purchase to finalise the design.

We are big fans of Easy Closets. Used them in our previous renovation and would have this time around too, had we not needed to work around multiple vent ducts. Highly recommend them.
