Window to Door conversion
I want to make one of my back wall windows into a door (it’s in the extension of a regular old Brooklyn brownstone). I had a contractor lined up but he flaked out. I’ve called the other guys I usually call, but the job is small and getting a bid (or a returned call) has been fruitless — seems everyone is busy right now. I don’t trust my handyman (or myself) to do it as it involves some masonry, framing in the door, making sure the darn thing doesn’t leak and keeping the back wall stable. I’ve got the door already and I’m ready to go. Can anyone recommend someone who’s done this before? Thanks!
