We'd like to shoot a Beautiful View

Hello, My name is Richard, no my brother in law and I are like… Amatuer Photographers… we just have fun doing it.  It’s a hobby for my more of a future for him he wants to get into photo journalism, he’s working his way there.  I got him into photography a few years ago and he’s been gun ho ever since. Here’s my/our question/issue/request… We love taking shots of Manhattan & Brooklyn from all angles.  But we feel like everything we shoot has already been shot before.  So we are looking for people with homes in high places with nice views of Brooklyn or Manhattan.  One place wed’d love to get to is the top are the Gowanus houses in Brooklyn.  I once saw a guys picture he took with his cell phone during the day and it was a beautiful view. We just wish we had the opportunity to sit up there or somewhere else with a different view of Brooklyn for a few hours during the day at different times and just take shots at different times as the sun repositions itself for us.   Also what about the Manhattan Skyline, sheesh I once saw a picture of the Manhattan Skyline taken by a photographer from the top of the Brooklyn Bridge.  it was an amazing photo and I saw it in a guys office.  It was clearly a limited edition and labeled something like 1/25,   I’d even like to go atop the Empire State Building or top of the rock but they dont let us bring our tripods up there so that kind of takes away from the experience. So we’d like to take some pictures… somewhere nice, somewhere different…  What’s in it for you of course?  We havent figured that out yet.  It’s not like we do this for a living but perhaps we can eventually get you a nice print out of whatever we shoot as a token of our appreciation.  Make a new friend in the process?   Let me know if you can help us or offer any advice on locations.   Here’s a link to our Photostreams on Flickr: Mine:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/44722343@N06/ His:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/danz-stuff/page2/   Thanks in advance!

We have a harbor/Manhattan view.   Not sure if it is unusual enough.   Photo at jerseydata.net
