Stair part fabricators?

Hi, can anybody recommend a good stair part fabricator who is local? My stair subcontractor has flaked at a very inconvenient time, and I am looking for someone to fabricate balusters (pretty conventional and widely available style) on very short notice. Thanks

We just had Santos come and replace 4 balusters at our coop. They had to be custom made as couldn’t find anything else that looked the same so wasn’t cheap. The total cost for 4 of them was $350 including installation/painting etc (we provided the paint). Came out perfect, was it more than I wanted to pay….yes, but now that they are in you cant tell the difference between old and new and that’s what counts. With success I have used JMP Wood Turning Inc on my projects. They have a large shop on E96th St in East Flatbush/Brownsville, Brooklyn. Old school. I’ll use them again!

Soxco advertises on this site and I believe they are based in Clinton Hill. They do everything to do with staircases. However I haven’t used them so can’t offer a personal endorsement.

there was a post here the other day about this topic and someone came in saying they found a shop to do them at a good rate. I can tell you that Adriatic Wood Products makes them. they are on Pitkin Ave. Tell them “Stetson” sent you. Steve
