Recommendation for cellar brick repointing

Any recommendations?  It’s the first step of a whole basement remodel that I’d like to do.

When  you do repoint, be sure to put on a layer of sacrificial mortar with high-lime content.  It is likely that your masonry foundation walls are in direct contact with the ground, which means that water and salts in the earth will penetrate up through the wall by osmosis and capillary action.  This leads to spalling and deterioration of mortar joints.
